Hello! I'm Michael, but you can call me Tea Drinker. I'm a British teen hobbyist developer with a passion for Python and backend development. I enjoy contributing to open-source projects that help the community such as Simplex. As well as that I have great fun creating silly mobile applications and sites.

Having grown up travelling and living abroad, I've gained a unique perspective on different cultures and ways of life, which inspires much of my work.

One of my biggest achievements so far is an open-source Discord bot called Simplex. Simplex is designed to streamline server management tasks and enhance the Discord experience for over 500 servers and 85,000 users.

In 2022, I was honoured to receive the Silver BETC Award for information technology at 16.

Recently, I entered the UKIEPC (UK and Ireland Programming Contest), where I got the opportunity to test my skills and collaborate with fellow developers from across the country as well as represent my University. I hope to participate in more of these competitions.

Currently, I’m studying at the University of Portsmouth, pursuing a degree in Computer Science. I have previously done A-levels in Maths, Computer Science, and Physics.

Other than programming, I enjoy reading mystery novels like Sherlock Holmes, playing chess, sailing, and exploring new places. My travels have instilled in me a love for adventure and a curiosity about the world.
