About Me
Hello! I'm Michael, a British developer with a passion for Python and backend development. I enjoy contributing to open-source projects that help the community, such as Simplex, and also have fun creating mobile applications and websites.
Having grown up traveling and living abroad, I've gained a unique perspective on different cultures and ways of life, which inspires much of my work. One of my biggest achievements so far is Simplex, an open-source Discord bot designed to streamline server management tasks and enhance the Discord experience for over 500 servers and 85,000 users.
In 2022, I was honored to receive the Silver BETC Award for Information Technology at 16. More recently, I entered the UKIEPC (UK and Ireland Programming Contest), where I tested my skills, collaborated with fellow developers, and represented my university. I hope to participate in more of these competitions.
Currently, I’m pursuing a Computer Science degree at the University of Portsmouth, building on my A-levels in Maths, Computer Science, and Physics.
Outside of programming, I enjoy reading mystery novels like Sherlock Holmes, playing chess, sailing, and exploring new places. My travels have instilled in me a love for adventure and a curiosity about the world.

Internet Controlled Christmas Tree
Using a Raspberry Pi and a Discord bot, I allowed the internet to control my Christmas tree. Through Discord, people could send commands to change the color of all the LEDs or individual LEDs.
